Copilot Studio pricing 2026: Copilot Credits rates and cost calculator

Pre-purchase pays for an annual pool upfront. Unused credits expire at the end of its term. The monthly equivalent below is a budgeting comparison, not a monthly payment offer.

The estimator compares no tier or one published tier plus pay-as-you-go overage. Microsoft permits additional purchases, but this calculator does not search those combinations. Volume changes, other discounts and agreement terms can change the better choice.

Agent Commit Units can cover several eligible agent services. They are not another allowance to add to a Copilot Credits plan. This calculator does not optimize Agent Commit Units or stack discounts.

Prompt-tool inputs use total input and output tokens. Include system instructions, retrieved context and model output, including reasoning output. A short visible answer can still use many tokens.

A reasoning-model operation can incur its feature charge and a premium token meter. Enter those metered tokens once. Do not copy the same prompt tokens into both premium-tool and reasoning fields.

The voice meter includes classic answers, generative answers and agent actions. A voice row therefore asks for minutes only. Separately billed non-core features need separate measured inputs; external telephony charges remain outside the estimate.

Bring-your-own-model charges, GitHub-harness runtime and unmodeled Copilot Chat cases are excluded. A public-web-only declarative agent can have different licensing treatment.

The Sales Order example assumes one availability check, one quote or order and one reply for each request. A request with more steps costs more. Unsupported files and invalid invoice messages are not chargeable invoice tasks under the documented rules.

The calculator does not infer that Business Central tasks can use credits from another Premium product. It also excludes Business Central developer-toolkit preview tasks whose rates are not published. Compare the underlying licenses in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central pricing.

Count qualifying paid licenses, not unique people. Separate Premium products assigned to one person have separate licensing conditions.

For each custom-agent allocation, confirm its Premium product, eligible workload, environment and Microsoft Dynamics 365 MCP connection. The calculator caps total allocations for each product at its entered license allowance.

Published prebuilt agents can have product-specific consumption definitions. Five generative answers in the Sales Premium example are an assumed custom-agent workflow, not a quoted rate for a named Microsoft agent. See the wider Microsoft Dynamics 365 price index for license costs.

The exemption requires an eligible employee-facing agent in a Microsoft channel, using the authenticated licensed employee's identity. It is subject to Microsoft's fair-use and licensing terms.

For agent flow actions, confirm the When an agent calls the flow trigger. Other flow triggers remain billable. Computer-Using Agent actions are not covered by that user-license exemption.

The calculator applies an entered licensed-use percentage only after confirmation. It does not use headcount as a substitute for the share of eligible runs.

AI Builder consumption in Power Apps and Power Automate can use AI Builder credits first, then Copilot Credits, under the documented licensing rules. Agent-flow prompts use Copilot Credits.

Seeded AI Builder credits end for new or renewed eligible plans from November 1, 2026. An existing contract can retain its allowance until the current term ends.

Testing agent flow actions can be free while prompt or model calls still incur charges. Do not treat every agent test as free. Compare other license requirements in Power Platform pricing.

Under prepaid enforcement, custom agents can be disabled at 125% of capacity. New agent flow runs are blocked at 100%; already running flows can finish.

Link the correct Azure billing plan and review environment allocations, agent limits and consumption reports. Pay-as-you-go billing is not a promise that an agent can never stop.
