What is Dynamics CRM on-premises?

Microsoft Dynamics CRM manages customer relationship management (CRM) work, such as sales and customer service. Customer Engagement is the later on-premises product name.

The newer Customer Engagement 9.1 dates do not extend support for CRM 2016 or Customer Engagement 9.0. Match the installed release before using a countdown.

Questions about Microsoft Dynamics 365 on-premises end of life

When is Microsoft Dynamics 365 on-premises end of life?

Customer Engagement 9.1 mainstream support ends on January 12, 2029. Extended support ends on January 9, 2031. MS Dynamics Guys treats older CRM releases separately.

Did Microsoft extend Customer Engagement 9.1 support?

The current Microsoft Lifecycle note gives the dates shown here. The older Microsoft announcement still carries superseded dates. Use the linked product record and conflict explanation.

When did Dynamics CRM 2016 support end?

CRM 2016 extended support ended on January 13, 2026. The Customer Engagement 9.1 extension does not change that CRM 2016 deadline.

Is Customer Engagement 9.0 covered through the 9.1 deadline?

No. The original 9.0 release ended on July 11, 2023. MS Dynamics Guys lists 9.0 and 9.1 separately so the later date is not applied to an unsupported release.

Can Dynamics CRM on-premises migrate to the online apps?

Microsoft documents the on-premises-to-online migration process. Its source-version rule starts at version 9.0 or later. Older installations need an appropriate upgrade path first.

Does the countdown replace a support agreement?

No. It is a calendar-date planning aid. Check your installed release, required updates, database and support agreement against the Microsoft sources.
