Is Dynamics AX still supported by Microsoft?

The AX releases listed in this tracker have ended Microsoft support. AX 2012 R3 extended support ended on January 10, 2023.

When did Dynamics AX 2009 support end?

AX 2009 extended support ended on April 12, 2022. MS Dynamics Guys uses the extended Microsoft date, not the superseded deadline.

When did Dynamics AX 2012 and R2 support end?

AX 2012 and AX 2012 R2 extended support ended on April 12, 2022. AX 2012 R3 has its own later deadline.

Is Axapta the same product as Dynamics AX?

Axapta is the former name of Microsoft Dynamics AX. The release and service pack determine the relevant support and migration rules.

Can AX 2012 upgrade directly to Microsoft Dynamics 365?

Microsoft supports cloud upgrades from AX 2012 R2 or R3, subject to its prerequisites. It does not list a direct cloud upgrade from AX 2012 RTM. MS Dynamics Guys keeps that distinction in its path summary.

Does partner maintenance restore Microsoft support?
