Dynamics GP product updates and technical support end on December 31, 2029. Security updates end on April 30, 2031. MS Dynamics Guys shows these separate phases in the tracker. ### Is Microsoft Dynamics GP the same as Great Plains? Great Plains is the former name of Microsoft Dynamics GP. GP is an on-premises enterprise resource planning product for finance and business operations. ### When does Dynamics GP 2018 support end? Fixed-policy GP 2018 extended support ends on January 11, 2028. Compatible tax releases or hotfixes can move an installation to the Modern policy. Check the installed version before selecting a deadline. ### Can new customers still buy Dynamics GP? Microsoft lists April 1, 2026 as the new-customer subscription sales cutoff. Confirm the cutoff boundary and existing-customer licensing with your provider. The milestones below link to the relevant Microsoft announcements. ### What replaces Dynamics GP? Microsoft identifies Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central online as the migration destination. Data, customizations and add-on products need separate scope checks. A migration is not a license-only replacement. ### Where do these Dynamics GP dates come from? MS Dynamics Guys compiled the listed dates from Microsoft Lifecycle and Microsoft announcements. Each version has a source link and checked date. The calendar is a planning aid, not a support contract. ## How MS Dynamics Guys checked these dates MS Dynamics Guys checked Microsoft's GP product records and support announcements on October 10, 2026. The version table separates fixed-policy releases from the Modern policy. Reviewed by Paul Francis.
